Spiritual Growth that Amazes
Spiritual growth is one of the key elements of our mission at Bethany. We are continually in amazement of the Holy Spirit at work us and around us, deepening our relationship with our Lord.
Worship
Worship is a central activity of the church, and Bethany offers two different worship services each week, where we hear the Word, offer our prayers, sing our praises, and are fed. Members of the congregation additionally contribute to our worship through various music programs, service as lay assistants, and the Worship Ministry Team. Learn more about worship and opportunities to serve in this section.
Stewardship
God has blessed us abundantly with our time, talents, and possessions, all signs of His gracious love. This section discusses our response as stewards of these gifts.
Education for All
Learn in this section about education programs for all ages, including Bible and book study groups, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and confirmation.
Order of St. Luke
The Order of St. Luke is an ecumenical ministry of healing. The Order meets at Bethany on the second Saturday of each month at 1:00-2:30 p.m. We welcome everyone to this session to learn about methods of prayer and healing. Anyone who wants to come for healing prayer for themselves or others is also encouraged to attend. This group is led by Father Norman Johns, a retired Episcopal priest.
Labyrinth
On the west side of Bethany we have a stone labyrinth created with rocks from our local beaches and households. Labyrinths have been used for spiritual journey in many cultures for many centuries. Step into the pathway, open your heart and soul to God, and slowly walk from beginning to end. As in life, we find our way from beginning to end by taking one step at a time.
The labyrinth at Bethany was constructed by Chris Ferguson and other members of Boy Scout Troop 1565 in 2006 as part of Chris's Eagle Scout project. Further information on the design of our labyrinth, which is a Santa Rosa pattern, is available from the Santa Rosa Labyrinth Foundation.
Library
Bethany maintains a library of books for all ages to help everyone on their faith journey.
