Youth Ministry at Bethany
Our Youth Group opportunities are made available to youth on Bainbridge Island and the surrounding communities. You do not need to be a member of Bethany to participate; everyone is welcome. You will see that we have a variety of opportunities. Some opportunities are geared towards building a community and learning about God. Servant event opportunities allow youth to practice walking a path that cares for their sisters and brothers and not just themselves. Still other opportunities might resonate with a youth's passion for music and drama. There are many ways in which we can connect with God and begin to see what God's dreams might be for us!
High School Youth Group: Grades 9-12
Our high school youth gather as a community to learn and experience God through fun and service, with afternoon or evening activities during the school year and our annual servant event each summer.
Confirmation: Grades 7-8
Confirmation is a time in a person's faith life to affirm their baptism. It is also a great time for young people to ask questions about their faith.
Bethany Believers: Grades 5-6
Bethany Believers is our youngest youth group. Our 5th and 6th graders gather after school on early dismissal days for lunch and a service project or fun outing.
Children's Choir: Grades 2-6
The Bethany Children's Choir meets on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. Besides singing, we do games that teach music skills, and the occasional skit illustrating a Bible story. Also, we have tea parties! In 2011-2012, we are scheduled to sing on the following Sundays: Sept. 25, Oct. 23, Nov. 20, Dec. 18, Jan. 22, Feb. 26, March 18 and April 8 (Easter).
