High School Youth Group: Grades 9-12

We welcome 9th-12th graders to join us for High School Youth Group! We gather as a community to learn and experience God through fun and service. Our activities include special outings such as movies, bowling, climbing or going to Seattle. We also include service projects like helping paint an elderly person's home, clearing trails, working at Helpline House, etc. Our regular time together could be a mixture of board games, devotions, Bible studies, scavenger hunts, movies and discussions, etc., right here on our Bethany campus in our own yurt.

Each summer this group travels to another state or country to help people in need. This provides a wonderful opportunity to learn about other cultures and life styles and ourselves and to build community. The trip is open to all high school youth, and many attendees each year come from outside Bethany. In 2010 our youth served the people of St. Bernard Parish near New Orleans, who are still recovering from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. In 2009, our youth worked with the Navajo people in New Mexico.

Pictures from New Orleans are available in the Publications section of this site.
